At the beginning of this year, baidu officially announced its entry into the field of vehicle manufacturing. Shortly after that, Xiaomi also announced its entry into the vehicle manufacturing industry. In addition to these IT enterprises, many home appliance enterprises also began to enter the new energy vehicle industry. Since March, Midea, Gree, Haier, Hisense, TCL and other home appliance enterprises have announced their involvement in the field of new energy vehicles. On March 25, Haier Group and Saic Motor Corporation Limited(600104) signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two sides will conduct in-depth cooperation in the fields of intelligent vehicle R & D and application, vehicle interconnection, new energy and intelligent vehicle application promotion, intelligent manufacturing transformation, industrial investment and so on.

Analyzing the reasons, the growing new energy vehicle market has become the main reason for all enterprises to accelerate their entry into this industry. According to the latest data of China Automobile Industry Association, in November, the production and sales of new energy vehicles completed 457000 and 450000 respectively, with a year-on-year increase of 1.3 times and 1.2 times respectively, and the production and sales continued to set a new record. In the first 11 months, the production and sales of new energy vehicles were 3.023 million and 2.99 million respectively, an increase of 1.7 times year-on-year. Moreover, consumers’ acceptance of new energy vehicles is getting higher and higher, and the new energy vehicle market has changed from policy driven to market driven.

At the same time, the policy environment and technical level of new energy vehicles are also constantly mature and optimized, which has laid a foundation for the future development of new energy vehicles.

China Insurance Industry Association recently issued the exclusive terms of commercial insurance for new energy vehicles (Trial), which fully covers various use scenarios of new energy vehicles in driving, parking, charging and operation. It has further solved the long-term concerns of many new energy owners.

China’s leading automotive battery company Contemporary Amperex Technology Co.Limited(300750) recently announced the specific situation of the first generation sodium ion battery in its online press conference. Sodium ion battery can be fully charged in 15 minutes, with low temperature resistance and high energy density.
