At 14:01 on March 5, China successfully launched six low orbit broadband communication satellites, Yinhe Aerospace 02 batch production satellites, which were developed in batch for the first time by China, into the predetermined orbit with a long March 2C carrier rocket at Xichang Satellite Launch Center. The mission was a complete success. The mission also launched a remote sensing satellite. The successful launch of this mission has verified that China has the ability of low-cost, batch development and networking operation of satellites necessary for the construction of Satellite Internet giant constellation, which is of positive significance to promote the development of China’s commercial LEO satellite communication and remote sensing integration technology.
Galaxy Aerospace 02 batch production satellite is a low orbit broadband communication satellite with international advanced level independently developed and manufactured by Galaxy aerospace company. The designed communication capacity of a single satellite exceeds 40Gbps and the average weight of the satellite is about 190kg These six satellites will form China’s first low orbit broadband communication test constellation in orbit with the first star of Galaxy aerospace, and build a satellite ground integration 5g test network “little spider web”, which has the ability of uninterrupted and low delay broadband communication service for about 30 minutes at a time, and can be used for technical verification of China’s low orbit satellite Internet, heaven earth integrated network and so on.
