At 14:01 Beijing time on March 5, 2022, the Long March 2C carrier rocket took off at Xichang Satellite Launch Center and put seven satellites of Galaxy Aerospace into orbit. Several satellites, including “xuancheng-1” satellite, carry communication payload and remote sensing payload. The satellite application task is developed with the participation of Sixiang technology. It will cooperate with its independently developed ground data processing system to open a precedent for the verification and application innovation of China’s LEO satellite communication and remote integration technology.
According to public information, there is no precedent in the industry for LEO satellites to carry remote sensing payload and communication payload at the same time. At present, the strategic position of Leo remote sensing satellites is becoming increasingly prominent. With the continuous improvement of satellite accuracy, the original data has doubled. At the same time, remote sensing, as an important means in scenes such as rescue and disaster relief, sea area monitoring and global target monitoring, needs to achieve minute level response. The integration of remote sensing and communication, combined with intelligent ground data processing system, is an effective way to improve the speed of emergency response.
