The reporter learned from Sichuan provincial transportation comprehensive administrative law enforcement corps (Expressway Administration Bureau of Sichuan Provincial Department of transportation) that in order to deeply implement the decisions and arrangements of the central and provincial Party committees, the provincial transportation law enforcement corps focused on services to achieve the “double carbon” goal, combined with the practical activities of “emission reduction and carbon reduction”, “I do practical things for the masses” and the construction of Chengdu Chongqing double city economic circle, Vigorously improve the supporting charging infrastructure, carry out the “charging pile project”, and actively promote green transportation and low-carbon travel. By the end of 2021, the province has built charging pile facilities in 79 pairs of expressway service areas, with remarkable construction results.
It is understood that the average spacing of charging piles in the expressway service area of our province is 60km, the maximum spacing is 200km, and the minimum spacing is 27km, covering 20 cities and states in the province, basically realizing the full coverage of main sections, and weaving a charging network centered on Chengdu and connecting the whole four rivers from south to North and from east to west. Ten green charging lines of expressways have been built between Sichuan and Chongqing to help the construction and development of Chengdu Chongqing double city economic circle. The charging channels from Sichuan to Chongqing, Sichuan to Shaanxi, Sichuan to Guizhou and Sichuan to Yunnan have been opened up between provinces to speed up the integration of green transportation among provinces.
According to the relevant person in charge of Sichuan comprehensive administrative law enforcement corps of transportation, since 2020, the demand for new energy vehicles to travel on expressways in our province has increased year by year. The masses pay close attention to the charging infrastructure construction in the expressway service area and the leaders attach great importance to it. Closely adhering to the travel needs of the masses, the provincial traffic law enforcement corps timely guided the expressway operation company to give priority to the construction of charging infrastructure, meet the high-speed travel needs of new energy vehicles, and respond to the expectations of the masses, so that new energy vehicles are no longer “afraid of heights”.
Next, the provincial traffic law enforcement corps will, based on the development trend of new energy vehicles, closely follow the travel needs of the people, and continuously accelerate the construction progress around the “three good” on the basis of completing the construction of the basic infrastructure of charging infrastructure and road network centered on Chengdu. In 2022, it is planned to build more than 45 pairs of charging infrastructure in service areas to achieve full coverage of Expressway sections in the province.
