The General Administration of Customs shall specify the relevant requirements for the inspection and Quarantine of imported dairy products

According to the General Administration of Customs on the 24th, the General Administration of Customs issued an announcement on clarifying the relevant requirements for the inspection and Quarantine of imported dairy products. Imported dairy products shall be accompanied by the health certificate issued by the competent government department of the exporting country or region. The certificate shall bear the seal of the competent department of the government of the exporting country or region and the signature of its authorized person, and the destination shall be marked as the people’s Republic of China. The sample of health certificate shall be confirmed by the General Administration of customs.

Imported raw milk, raw dairy products, pasteurized milk and prepared milk produced and processed by pasteurization process need to go through the entry quarantine approval procedures. Overseas production enterprises shall be familiar with and ensure that the dairy products exported to China comply with China’s national food safety standards and relevant requirements. The announcement shall be implemented as of January 1, 2022.
