The report focused on the “new it” related manufacturing enterprises. After the transformation, the production efficiency increased by 37.6% on average

“The ‘new it’ is the core production tool for the digital transformation productivity of enterprises. It provides the technology and innovative service solutions required by the digital transformation and intelligent transformation of various industries.” Li Wei, deputy director of cloud computing and big data Research Institute of China Academy of information and communications, said recently at the “2022 ICT + in-depth observation report meeting of China Academy of information and communications”.

“New it” refers to the technologies, services and solutions that enable all walks of life to realize intelligent transformation based on the technical architecture of “end (intelligent terminal equipment / Internet of things) – edge (edge computing) – cloud (Cloud Computing) – Network (5g and high-speed optical fiber network) – intelligence (industry intelligence)”.

The blue paper report on Enterprise Digital Transformation – New it enables low-carbon green transformation of the real economy (hereinafter referred to as the report) released at the meeting believes that “new it” is the “digital base” for the transformation of all walks of life, which can play an important value in helping enterprises reduce costs and increase efficiency, create agile services, reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions, and enable the digital transformation of the real economy.

The report released this time is the latest research result of think tank on digital transformation of China Academy of communications and communications. It focuses on the petroleum, petrochemical, power and manufacturing industries, analyzes the digital technology, key business scenarios and transformation promotion path involved in enterprise digital transformation, and writes some typical cases of enterprise digital transformation.

“Digital transformation is the only way for the long-term and stable development of government and enterprises. It is a complex and systematic project involving data, technology, process, organization and other elements that needs to be done for a long time.” He Baohong, director of cloud computing and big data Research Institute of China Academy of information and communications, said he hoped that the report would point out the path for entity enterprises to use “new it” to promote digital transformation.

Li Wei further analyzed that enterprises should grasp three principles in digital transformation, including “laying a good ‘digital base’, integrating ‘new it’ technologies represented by cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence and the Internet of things, so as to provide efficient and low-cost integrated service support for enterprise business innovation”.

The report also emphasizes that the digital infrastructure needed for the digital transformation of enterprises is no longer just hardware equipment, but a full set of solutions including Internet of things equipment, infrastructure and intelligent applications. What is needed is a full range of services including implementation, operation and maintenance.

In fact, the “new it” technology has been applied to all links and chains such as production, consumption, transmission, operation, management and trading, so as to promote the improvement of energy efficiency and the optimization of energy structure, and realize the sustainable development of “emission reduction without production reduction, income increase without consumption increase”. It was disclosed at the meeting that the data of the intelligent manufacturing pilot demonstration project of the Ministry of industry and information technology showed that after the digital and intelligent transformation, the production efficiency of relevant manufacturing enterprises increased by 37.6%, the operating cost decreased by 21.2% and the energy utilization rate increased by 16.1%.

In view of the pain points faced by enterprises in digital transformation, institutions such as China Academy of information technology are still improving the transformation standard system to help enterprises understand their own digital development. For example, the new IT index, which combines the “technological advanced nature” and “value contribution”, can accurately locate the digitalization capability of enterprises. Another example is the enterprise IT digital capability and operational effectiveness maturity model (iomm), or provide a “yardstick” and guide for enterprise digital transformation.
