20 provinces raise the minimum wage

According to the provisions on minimum wage, the minimum wage standard generally takes the form of monthly minimum wage standard and hourly minimum wage standard. The monthly minimum wage is applicable to full-time employed workers, and the hourly minimum wage is applicable to part-time employed workers.

It is found that since 2021, 20 provinces in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Tianjin, Shandong, Hubei, Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Shaanxi, Liaoning, Xinjiang, Shanxi, Heilongjiang, Jiangxi, Tibet, Hainan, Gansu and Anhui have raised the minimum wage.

In terms of wage level, the first monthly minimum wage standard in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangdong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Tianjin, Shandong and Hubei exceeds 2000 yuan. Among them, the highest price in Shanghai is 2590 yuan.

Specifically, Shanghai adjusted the minimum wage from July 1, and the monthly minimum wage was adjusted from 2480 yuan to 2590 yuan, an increase of 110 yuan.

From August 1, Beijing adjusted the monthly minimum wage of 2200 yuan to 2320 yuan, an increase of 120 yuan.

Guangdong has adjusted and raised the monthly minimum wage standard since December 1, including 2300 yuan for class I standard, 1900 yuan for class II standard, 1720 yuan for class III standard and 1620 yuan for class IV standard. Increase by 200 yuan, 180 yuan, 170 yuan and 210 yuan respectively.

Since August 1, the monthly minimum wage standard in Zhejiang has been adjusted from four grades to three grades of 2280 yuan, 2070 yuan and 1840 yuan, and the first three grades have been increased by 270 yuan, 270 yuan and 180 yuan respectively.

Jiangsu has raised the minimum wage since August 1. The first, second and third categories of regions have been adjusted to 2280 yuan, 2070 yuan and 1840 yuan respectively, and 260 yuan, 240 yuan and 220 yuan respectively.

Since July 1, Tianjin has adjusted the monthly minimum wage from 2050 yuan to 2180 yuan, an increase of 130 yuan.

Shandong has adjusted the monthly minimum wage standard of the whole province since October 1, which is 2100 yuan, 1900 yuan and 1700 yuan respectively.

Since September 1, Hubei has adjusted the monthly minimum wage to 2010 yuan, 1800 yuan, 1650 yuan and 1520 yuan, with an increase of 260 yuan, 300 yuan, 270 yuan and 270 yuan respectively.

Inner Mongolia raised the minimum wage from December 1, and the adjusted monthly minimum wage for full-time workers was 1980 yuan in class I areas, up 220 yuan; Class II areas were 1910 yuan, an increase of 250 yuan; Class III areas were 1850 yuan, an increase of 290 yuan.

Since September 1, Ningxia has adjusted the monthly minimum wage to 1950 yuan, 1840 yuan and 1750 yuan, up 290 yuan, 280 yuan and 270 yuan respectively.

Shaanxi has raised the minimum wage since May 1, and the first, second and third categories of districts have been adjusted to 1950 yuan, 1850 yuan and 1750 yuan respectively, all of which have been increased by 150 yuan.

Liaoning has adjusted the monthly minimum wage to 1910 yuan, 1710 yuan, 1580 yuan and 1420 yuan since November 1, and increased it by 100 yuan, 100 yuan, 100 yuan and 120 yuan respectively.

The minimum wage standard in Xinjiang is divided into four grades and will be implemented from April 1. The monthly minimum standards are 1900 yuan, 1700 yuan, 1620 yuan and 1540 yuan respectively, with an increase of 80 yuan.

Since October 1, Shanxi has adjusted the monthly minimum wage from the original four levels to 1880 yuan, 1760 yuan and 1630 yuan, and the first three levels have been increased by 180 yuan, 160 yuan and 130 yuan respectively.

Heilongjiang will raise the minimum wage from April 1. The adjusted monthly minimum wage is divided into three grades by region. The first level is 1860 yuan, the second level is 1610 yuan, and the third level is 1450 yuan, up 180 yuan, 160 yuan and 180 yuan respectively.

Jiangxi has raised the minimum wage since April 1, with a minimum of 1850 yuan in class I areas, 1730 yuan in class II areas and 1610 yuan in class III areas, up 170 yuan, 150 yuan and 140 yuan respectively.

Since July 1, Tibet has adjusted the current monthly minimum wage to 1850 yuan, an increase of 200 yuan.

Hainan has adjusted the provincial minimum wage standard since December 1, of which the monthly minimum wage standard in class I areas is 1830 yuan; The minimum monthly wage in class II areas is 1730 yuan; The minimum monthly wage in the three types of areas is 1680 yuan.

Gansu has raised the minimum wage since September 1, and the first, second, third and fourth categories of areas have been adjusted to 1820 yuan, 1770 yuan, 1720 yuan and 1670 yuan respectively, all of which have been increased by 200 yuan.

Anhui adjusted the minimum wage standard on December 3. The first level was adjusted from 1550 yuan to 1650 yuan, the second level was adjusted from 1380 yuan to 1500 yuan, the third level was adjusted from 1280 yuan to 1430 yuan, and the fourth level was adjusted from 1180 yuan to 1340 yuan.

how do migrant workers benefit?

It is worth noting that the minimum wage in many provinces will be implemented next year. For example, the notice on adjusting the minimum wage standard of Henan Province issued by the people's Government of Henan Province clearly stipulates that the monthly minimum wage standard of class I administrative regions is 2000 yuan, the monthly minimum wage standard of class II administrative regions is 1800 yuan, and the monthly minimum wage standard of class III Administrative regions is 1600 yuan. The adjusted minimum wage shall come into force as of January 1, 2022.

Chongqing will implement the new minimum wage standard from April 1, 2022. After the adjustment, the minimum wage standard in Chongqing implements a two-stage system, which is 300 yuan higher than the original standard of 1800 yuan / month and 1700 yuan / month respectively.

In addition to the above-mentioned provinces, Jilin, Sichuan and other provinces have also mentioned plans to adjust the minimum wage this year.

According to the provisions on the minimum wage, the minimum wage standard shall be adjusted at least once every two years. The determination and adjustment of the monthly minimum wage standard shall refer to the minimum living expenses of local employees and their dependants, the consumer price index of urban residents, the social insurance premium and housing accumulation fund paid by employees, the average wage of employees, the level of economic development, employment status and other factors.
