The “Euler good cat” is suspected of false publicity and misleading consumers during sales. In this regard, Dong Yudong, general manager of Euler automobile, recently responded through the economic information network of China Central Television finance and economics, saying that he was deeply sorry for the troubles brought to the majority of users and would “properly handle relevant matters”.
It is understood that recently, Euler automobile was complained by consumers: in the sales process of “Euler good cat”, it was advertised that it was equipped with Qualcomm eight core chip, but it was equipped with Intel four core chip at the time of delivery.
In response, Dong Yudong said: “we apologize for the trouble caused by the ‘Euler good cat’ chip problem to the majority of users, and sincerely apologize here. After we get the information from consumers, we will carefully investigate the context and properly handle relevant matters, and we will give consumers a satisfactory answer.” He said that the incident was being actively handled and thanked users and all sectors of society for their supervision and support. It is worth noting that Euler cat has not given a specific treatment plan for the time being.
When asked whether “Euler cat” will carry Qualcomm chips in the future, Dong Yudong said that the Qualcomm chips mentioned in the intelligent service processing platform in the parameter configuration table of “Euler cat” are used in the remote control module.
Although the Euler brand responded for the first time, in the financial report of China Central Television, the users of “Euler good cat” said that they still expect the brand to take more practical measures.
According to the previous report, Ms. Zhou of Shanghai bought an Euler cat new energy vehicle in November. The brand side claims that it is equipped with a “Qualcomm eight core” vehicle chip, which can realize rich vehicle and machine functions. After picking up the car, Ms. Zhou found that Euler cat did not carry the publicized Qualcomm 8155 chip, but only the old Intel 4-core a3940 released five years ago. The chip has backward performance and poor compatibility, which is inconsistent with Qualcomm’s official 8-core CPU. And Euler also deleted the introduction and publicity about the Qualcomm chip on the official website. Ms. Zhou said that the initial appeal was to replace the Qualcomm 8155 chip officially claimed by Euler, but was told that “it was impossible to replace the chip for her”. In this regard, Ms. Zhou said that if it cannot be replaced, she asked to return the car.
The reporter noted that with more and more car owners joining in the rights protection of relevant events, Euler automobile officials have issued two statements, admitting that the good cat models on sale are not equipped with Qualcomm eight core chips, and proposed to give car owners an equity package worth 7200 yuan, including free upgrade of Carplay and hicar, extension of two-year entertainment flow package and lifetime warranty service of the first car owner. However, this scheme has not been recognized by car owners.
