The General Administration of Customs recently issued an announcement on matters related to the implementation of the provisions of the people's Republic of China on the registration and administration of overseas production enterprises of imported food and the measures of the people's Republic of China on the safety of imported and exported food. Food exported to China produced from January 1, 2022 shall be included in the list of food exported to China The outer package shall be marked with the registration number in China or the registration number approved by the competent authority of the country (region) where it is located. In addition, the registered overseas production enterprises of imported food shall continue to be valid. A registered enterprise shall continue its registration in accordance with the relevant requirements of Article 20 of the registration provisions 6-3 months before the expiration of the registration validity period. If an enterprise fails to apply for renewal of registration in accordance with the provisions, the General Administration of Customs will cancel it.
