Wang Bohua, honorary chairman of Photovoltaic Industry Association: the installed capacity of China's photovoltaic industry will exceed 75gw in 2022

On December 15, at the annual conference of China's photovoltaic industry in 2021, Wang Bohua, honorary chairman of China Photovoltaic Industry Association, said that due to the lagging issuance of indicators and rising prices, the new installed capacity of China's photovoltaic industry this year was less than expected, and the installed capacity forecast in 2021 was lowered from 55-65gw at the beginning of the year to 45-55gw.

However, the photovoltaic industry is generally optimistic about the new installed capacity next year. Wang Bohua said that driven by China's huge reserves of photovoltaic power generation projects, the new installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation in China may be more than 75gw in 2022.

It is reported that at present, China's photovoltaic power generation market has strong reserves. According to incomplete statistics, the configuration scale of photovoltaic power stations (including some wind power) in all provinces in 2021 totaled 89.28gw, and the scale of large base has been announced to exceed 60GW.
