On December 6, Wang Dapeng, deputy director of the new and renewable energy department of the national energy administration, revealed at the 2021 global biomass energy innovation and Development Summit Forum that during the “14th five year plan” period, the national energy administration will continue to steadily promote the diversified development of biomass energy:
First, steadily develop biomass power generation and optimize the development layout of biomass power generation.
Second, actively develop biomass energy clean heating. Reasonably develop biomass boiler heating with agricultural and forestry biomass and biomass briquette fuel as fuel, and encourage the use of large and medium-sized boilers for central heating in rural, urban and other population gathering areas.
Third, accelerate the development of biological natural gas. In major planting and breeding counties such as main grain producing areas and livestock and poultry breeding concentrated areas, plan and build a biological natural gas project with an annual output of 10 million cubic meters, form a diversified application mode integrated into natural gas pipe network and urban gas pipe network, and promote the development of biological natural gas industrialization.
Chen Xiaoping, honorary president of biomass energy industry branch of China Association for the promotion of industrial development, said at the summit forum that in addition to solving the harmless and reduced biological treatment of urban and rural filtered organic waste, the development of biomass energy in China is the only way to make it resource and energy utilization. According to statistics, if combined with beccs (bioenergy and carbon capture and storage) technology, it is estimated that the utilization of biomass energy will reduce carbon in the whole society by more than 900 million tons by 2030 and more than 2 billion tons by 2060, which will make an important contribution to China’s “double carbon” goal.

Experts said that biomass energy is a non fossil energy that contributes to energy in various forms.
