Zheng Yueming said that washing products are daily products that are very familiar to consumers, including washing liquid, washing powder, detergent and so on. Compared with ordinary washing products, concentrated washing products have stronger decontamination power, smaller volume, lower production, packaging, storage and transportation costs and less carbon emissions, which is in line with the direction of green consumption.

According to the calculation of China washing products industry association, if all washing products in China are concentrated, about 1.75 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions can be reduced every year and more than 8 billion kwh of electricity can be saved in the production and transportation of washing products; In the process of use, it can reduce the discharge of washing wastewater by about 2.4 million tons, which is equivalent to the carbon dioxide emission of about 400000 family cars in one year, the power consumption of 3 million families in one year and the water consumption of 10000 families in one year.

Zheng Yueming believes that some developed countries and regions started earlier and developed rapidly in the concentration of washing products. However, China’s concentrated washing products market has not been opened. At present, the consumption proportion of concentrated products is less than 4%, far behind developed countries and regions.

There are two main reasons for this result: first, the product standard is not perfect, and the product quality needs to be further improved; Second, consumers’ awareness of concentrated products is not enough. Most consumers have formed the inherent impression and consumption habit of “washing clean only with more dosage” and “barrel packaging is more affordable”. To solve the above problems, it is not enough to rely on the publicity of industry associations and enterprises. It needs the promotion of policies at the national level and the joint participation of various social forces.

Zheng Yueming suggested that first, the state should introduce relevant policies to support the development of concentrated washing products and guide consumers to use green concentrated washing products. Formulate mandatory norms and accelerate the reduction of packaging of washing products; Improve the standard system, raise the standard threshold, and strengthen the environmental protection management of product production, storage, transportation and other links; We will improve the green certification and labeling system for washing products, encourage enterprises to apply for product green certification, and severely crack down on false labeling and misleading consumers.

Second, strengthen scientific and technological support and expand green supply. Through taxation, green finance and other means, support leading and backbone enterprises to increase R & D investment, improve product quality and cost performance, and enhance competitiveness.

Third, strengthen publicity, give full play to the role of industry associations and mainstream media, carry out public welfare and popular science publicity of concentrated washing products, and guide green consumption.
