On March 2, Ningbo Orient Wires & Cables Co.Ltd(603606) “temporary wharf project of high-end marine energy equipment system application demonstration project” (hereinafter referred to as “wharf project”) successfully passed the handover acceptance, which will effectively solve the problem of shipping finished marine cables of the enterprise.
The wharf project is located in the section from shengluoyuanshan to Xin’an on the south side of Chuanshan Peninsula in Chuanshan port area of Zhoushan port, Ningbo. A new 2000 ton temporary Wharf (two 2000 ton bulk cargo berths) is built, with a total length of 198 meters and a design annual throughput of 924000 tons.
The wharf project is an important supporting service project of Ningbo Orient Wires & Cables Co.Ltd(603606) “high-end marine energy equipment system application demonstration project” (hereinafter referred to as “demonstration project”). According to reports, the demonstration project has a total investment of 1.5 billion yuan and a land area of about 450 mu. It is the largest submarine cable intelligent production base in China. It is equipped with a special wharf for cable shipping. It is planned to produce about 630 kilometers of cables for marine new energy equipment, about 250 kilometers of cables for marine power equipment, and about 510 kilometers of cables for marine oil and gas equipment.
During the preliminary approval and construction of the project, with the strong support of the transportation, port and shipping department, the project has given cross departmental coordination and strong help in port planning adjustment, shoreline approval, wharf construction and other aspects. The project construction has been completed in less than one year, creating a new “Ningbo speed”.
The demonstration project has the largest intelligent tray in China, which can bear 10000 tons. It can realize the intelligent linkage of large-length and high-grade photoelectric composite submarine cables from production to shipment and from workshop to wharf. It is the only intelligent “future factory” of high-end marine energy equipment system with outdoor marine simulation test site in China.
