The Ministry of science and technology recently announced the comprehensive evaluation results of the national high tech Zone in 2021. 10 companies, including Suzhou Industrial Park in Jiangsu Province, Nanjing national high tech Zone and Changzhou National High tech Zone, have entered the top 50 in China, reaching a new high and ranking first in the country.
A total of 18 national high-tech zones in our province participated in the comprehensive evaluation, with an overall average carry of 4, which has been maintained for five consecutive years. Among them, Suqian national high tech Zone, Huai’an national high tech Zone, Jiangsu Lianyungang Port Co.Ltd(601008) national high tech Zone and Wuxi National High tech Zone jumped significantly, ranking 17th, 17th, 9th and 7th respectively. Kunshan national high tech Zone, Wujin national high tech Zone and Jiangyin National High tech Zone rank among the top three county national high tech zones in China, with dazzling achievements.
In recent years, our province has deeply implemented the innovation driven development strategy and vigorously promoted the high-quality development of high-tech zones in the province. The innovation ability and entrepreneurial activity, structural optimization and industrial value, open innovation and international competitiveness, green development and livable inclusiveness of high-tech zones have been significantly improved. In 2021, the output value of high-tech industries in the province’s high-tech zones increased by 18.3%, and the output value of high-tech industries accounted for 64.2% of the industrial output value above the designated level, 16.7 percentage points higher than that of the province.
At present, there are 54 high-tech zones above the provincial level in our province, including 18 national high-tech zones, ranking first in the country. It is the first province in China to realize the full coverage of national high-tech zones.
