According to the 49th statistical report on the development of China’s Internet released by China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) on the 25th, the construction of China’s information and communication network has made steady progress in 2021, the industrial Internet has made positive progress, and more than 2000 “5g + industrial Internet” projects are under construction.
The report shows that by December 2021, the total number of mobile phone base stations in China had reached 9.96 million, the total number of 5g base stations completed and opened was 1.425 million, and the number of new 5g base stations in the whole year reached 654000.
Huang Qingqing, vice president of the China Internet association, said that the development of China’s industrial Internet has made steady progress, and the application of “5g + industrial Internet” has developed in depth. The network foundation, platform hub, data elements and security role of industrial Internet have further emerged.
According to statistics, there are more than 150 industrial Internet platforms with national influence, with a total of more than 76 million sets of access equipment; The enabling of data aggregation has achieved initial results, and the national industrial Internet big data center has formed a systematic layout covering Beijing Tianjin Hebei, the Yangtze River Delta, the Great Bay area of Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao and Chengdu Chongqing economic circle.
Huang clarified that “5g + industrial Internet” accelerated the construction of new infrastructure, application mode and industrial ecology deeply integrated with industrial economy.
China’s Ministry of industry and information technology has promoted relevant units to learn from the 20 typical scenarios and 10 key industry application practices of the two batches of “5g + industrial Internet”, closely follow the characteristics and needs of the industry, explore more application scenarios, and promote the in-depth integration of “5g + industrial Internet” with the real economy. At present, it has achieved remarkable application results in electronic equipment manufacturing, equipment manufacturing, steel, mining, electric power and other industries, and plays a greater role in promoting the development of China’s digital economy.
