How are these A-share companies doing in Ukraine? Here comes the exclusive response

Affected by the continuous tension in Russia and Ukraine, the prices of crude oil, natural gas and other energy have fluctuated at a high level recently, and the supply of semiconductor raw materials neon gas, rapeseed, wheat and other commodities has also been affected to varying degrees.

On February 24, some investors inquired about the impact of listed companies involved in Russian and Ukrainian businesses on the interactive platform of the exchange. In an interview with China Securities News, some listed companies responded to the latest developments of their local related businesses in Russia and Ukraine.

Jiangxi Zhengbang Technology Co.Ltd(002157) the securities department exclusively responded to the reporter of China Securities Journal, saying that at present, the escalation of the situation in Russia and Ukraine has little impact on the raw material procurement business of Ukrainian Sun company. Although the cost performance of black wheat is high, if the subsequent purchase of black wheat is affected, the possibility of selecting raw materials such as Australian wheat and French wheat for replacement cannot be ruled out.

Longyuan Power exclusively responded to the reporter of China Securities News that the production and operation of wind power projects in Ukraine are normal. According to the person from the Securities Department of the company, the company has a wind power project in Ukraine, with a small installed capacity of 76.5mw, accounting for three thousandths of the company’s total installed capacity of wind power. At present, all production and operation are normal. According to the announcement of Longyuan Power, the power generation of the company’s power generation project in Ukraine reached 28777mwh in January 2022, accounting for 0.6% of the company’s total wind power generation in that month.

Xinjiang Xintai Natural Gas Co.Ltd(603393) responded that it has been concerned that the tension between Russia and Ukraine has led to the continuous high volatility of natural gas prices and tight supply. In addition, due to the strong recovery of China’s economic growth and recent weather changes, the price of China’s LNG market has continued to strengthen. Based on the fact that part of the company’s CBM is directly sold to the downstream LNG liquid plant, which will affect the changes of revenue, profit and other indicators. The company seizes the good demand opportunity at present and in the future, and strives to maintain a good development trend by accelerating the release of production capacity and continuously optimizing the gas supply structure.

Xinjiang Beiken Energy Engineering Co.Ltd(002828) the Securities Department said that it had not received any information about the impact of the Russian Ukrainian incident on the company’s local business.

In response to Jiangsu Provincial Agricultural Reclamation And Development Co.Ltd(601952) plans to invest 33 million yuan to set up a subsidiary in Ukraine, Jiangsu Provincial Agricultural Reclamation And Development Co.Ltd(601952) relevant people told reporters that the project has been in the preparatory process and has not been established by capital injection at present. Due to the unstable political situation in Ukraine, the company’s project is actually in the suspension stage.

Jiangsu Zhongli Group Co.Ltd(002309) said that after verification, the company did not operate photovoltaic business in Ukraine, and the original company had been transferred, so it was not affected by the current situation.

It is understood that Ukraine is a major supplier of semiconductor raw gas, including neon, argon, krypton, xenon, etc., of which neon is supplied by Ukraine, accounting for nearly 70% of the world’s output. Earlier, South Korean financial institutions issued a research report that the outbreak of conflict between Russia and Ukraine will interfere with the production of inert gases such as neon, argon and krypton and impact the supply and demand of semiconductors. In 2014, when Russia controlled the Crimea Peninsula, the price of neon gas soared more than 10 times.

For the market’s concern about the impact of the situation in Russia and Ukraine on the supply of semiconductor raw material neon gas, Liu Qidong, a spokesman for liandian (Taiwan Lianhua Electronics Co., Ltd.), an integrated circuit OEM, said that although liandian uses neon gas from Ukraine, it always maintains suppliers from multiple sources, not only a single source of goods. Even if Ukraine runs out of goods, alternative sources of goods can be found in Taiwan.

Hunan Kaimeite Gases Co.Ltd(002549) said that the price of neon has increased recently. Yueyang electronic special rare gas project of the company has been officially put into operation in July 2020, which can produce helium, neon, argon, hydrogen and other products.

Suzhou Jinhong Gas Co.Ltd(688106) told reporters that the company’s neon business accounted for a low proportion of its main business, and the Russian Ukrainian incident had little impact on the company as a whole.
