Hong Kong stocks fell 3.21% to close at 22901.56 on the 24th

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index fell 758.72 points, or 3.21%, to 22901.56 on the 24th. Transactions on the main board throughout the day amounted to HK $176.957 billion.

The state-owned enterprise index fell 286.32 points, or 3.44%, to close at 8030.9 points. The Hang Seng technology index fell 229.45 points, or 4.33%, to 5069.79.

In terms of blue chips, Tencent holdings fell 3.87% to close at HK $427.8; Hong Kong Stock Exchange fell 5.42% to close at HK $394.6; China Mobile fell 1.64% to HK $54; HSBC Holdings fell 3.36% to HK $56.15.

In terms of local shares in Hong Kong, Changshi group fell 2.52% to close at HK $50.2; Sun Hung Kai Properties fell 1.42% to HK $93.95; Henderson properties fell 1.96% to HK $32.6.

In terms of Chinese financial stocks, Bank Of China Limited(601988) fell 2.24% to HK $3.05; China Construction Bank Corporation(601939) fell 1.68% to HK $5.84; Industrial And Commercial Bank Of China Limited(601398) fell 1.9% to HK $4.65; Ping An Insurance (Group) Company Of China Ltd(601318) fell 4.37% to HK $61. China Life Insurance Company Limited(601628) fell 2.95% to HK $13.16.

In terms of petroleum and petrochemical stocks, Petrochina Company Limited(601857) Chemical shares fell 0.99% to HK $4.01; Petrochina Company Limited(601857) shares rose 3.4% to HK $4.26; CNOOC rose 1% to HK $10.12.
