According to Xia Yuzhong, the action plan proposes that by 2023, Pudong New Area will focus on breaking through 50 key technologies, form 10 landmark scientific and technological achievements, build 10 open innovation platforms, create 300 typical digital transformation application scenarios, and promote the industrial scale of software and information service industry to reach 375 billion yuan (RMB, the same below).
“Strive to build Pudong New Area into an international leading artificial intelligence technology innovation leading place and economic digital transformation and development demonstration area, and help build a leading area of socialist modernization with world influence.” Xia Yuzhong said.
Focusing on the above development goals, the action plan puts forward “5 major projects and 23 tasks”, including industrial foundation strengthening project, ecological coordination project, opening leading project, digital leap project and enabling all industries project.
“We take the mechanism of exposing and commanding as the starting point, promote the establishment of innovative and landmark scene discovery and transformation mechanism, and form the ‘Pudong model’ of economic digital transformation guided by benchmarking and coordinated and inclusive.” According to Xia Yuzhong, in the follow-up, Pudong will also publish a list of application projects of “taking the lead” in economic digital transformation around the fields of intelligent manufacturing, intelligent medical treatment, intelligent commerce, intelligent shipping, financial technology and so on, and widely solicit digital transformation solutions.
