Recently, the national development and Reform Commission announced the evaluation results of the national enterprise technology center in 2021. XCMG national technology center ranked 36th with a comprehensive score of 92.4, up 12 places from 48th in the previous year. It continued to be evaluated as excellent and continued to rank first in the construction machinery industry.
The identification and operation evaluation of the national enterprise technology center is led by the national development and Reform Commission, which aims to identify the enterprise technology centers with strong innovation ability, good innovation mechanism and great leading and demonstration role, so as to encourage and guide the backbone enterprises of the industry to drive the progress of industrial technology and the improvement of innovation ability. This evaluation is conducted from three dimensions: innovation investment, innovation conditions and innovation performance, covering 1744 enterprises in China. Among them, only 72 enterprise technology centers scored more than 90 points and were rated excellent.
In the 1950s, XCMG began to set foot in construction machinery and was the founder and pioneer of China’s construction machinery. In November 1993, XCMG national technology center became the first batch of recognized only enterprises in the construction machinery industry. Over the years, the construction of XCMG’s national technology center has firmly focused on the goal of “reaching the summit of Mount Everest” in the global construction machinery industry, always adhered to the “three high and one large” technology innovation strategy of high-tech content, high added value, high reliability and large tonnage, adhered to the implementation of the product concept of “leading technology, indestructible use and making handicrafts”, and integrated global industrial and technological resources, XCMG has embarked on the road of building world-class technological innovation capacity.
At present, XCMG has built and owned 2 National R & D platforms, 8 provincial engineering technology research centers, 2 provincial engineering research centers, 2 provincial manufacturing innovation centers, 1 provincial industrial design center, and 1 construction machinery complete machine and parts testing center recognized by the national “CNAs” laboratory, and 13 enterprises have been recognized as provincial enterprise technology centers.
XCMG’s annual R & D investment is no less than 4.5% of its sales revenue. Wang Min, chairman of XCMG Co., Ltd.
