In recent years, with the accelerated pace of eliminating backward production capacity and resolving excess production capacity in the coal industry, the railway coal transportation volume has been seriously impacted. At the same time, with the support of national industrial policies, coal chemical enterprises with “coal head and electricity tail” and “coal head and tail” have significantly increased their production capacity. At present, there are 8 large and medium-sized coal chemical enterprises under the management of Qitaihe station. In 2021, 4.466 million tons of coke were shipped, accounting for 48.6% of the total goods shipped by the station, and coke transportation accounted for almost half of the country. How to attract more Coke sources and achieve the goal of using coke to make up for the reduction of coal sources has become a key move for this station to break the traffic bottleneck.
Coke is a light cargo, and the cost has been calculated according to the actual weight. Only by increasing the net load of a single vehicle can the transportation income be increased. Through sufficient market research and evaluation in the early stage, they found that although coke delivery enterprises are scattered, most of the arrival stations are concentrated in Laobian, baiertun, CaoShi and other directions of China Railway Shenyang bureau group. In order to reduce the transportation time limit, the station puts forward the idea of “breaking up parts into whole” and opening a coke direct train to the station.

In order to cooperate with the operation of the special train, Harbin bureau group company deployed more than 400 c70e-a trucks with a carriage 300 mm higher than the conventional C70 trucks to form a cycle train group, which not only ensures the high-quality operation of the special train, but also increases the net load of a single vehicle by about 5 tons.
After using c70e-a truck, one truck can load 5 tons more coke, the time limit for transporting goods is reduced by nearly half, and the cost of secondary loading and unloading per ton of goods is reduced by 60 yuan. Based on the calculation of 55 trains, one train will increase the transport capacity by more than 270 tons.
On February 6 and 8 this year, Qitaihe station opened 33 coke trains in groups and 56 coke trains arriving at CaoShi and Laobian respectively. By summarizing the delivery time limit and the feedback from the unloading station, the special train transportation is twice as fast as the previous decentralized marshalling mode, the delivery time limit is greatly reduced, the group and train test operation is successful, and the “fast run” has become a reality.
In order to improve the transportation efficiency, the station has also developed the “loading under the coke bin” mode on the basis of continuously optimizing the operation links of pick-up and delivery. The coke produced by the enterprise is directly filled into the gondola from the storage bin without landing.
