On February 16, the construction of phase II 20gwh power battery project of honeycomb energy Shangrao base was officially started in Shangrao economic development zone.

It will apply advanced technology to build an industry-leading production base, do a good job in scientific planning and management of the park, gather high-quality human and material resources, and build the Shangrao base of honeycomb energy into a century old green environmental protection enterprise
The capacity of phase II of the honeycomb energy Shangrao power battery project is planned to be 20gwh. It is expected to realize SOP (operate according to the process standards) in the second half of 2023. So far, with the 4gwh of phase I, the total capacity of Shangrao base is planned to be 24gwh.
According to the latest data released by China automotive power battery industry innovation alliance, honeycomb energy has jumped to the fifth place in the industry in the ranking of installed capacity of China Shipbuilding Industry Group Power Co.Ltd(600482) battery enterprises in January 2022. According to SNE research, an authority in the international power battery industry, the total installed capacity of honeycomb energy power battery has entered the top 10 camp in the world from January to December 2021. The company’s battery is equipped with a number of mainstream car enterprises, and has received orders from many well-known car enterprises around the world.
At present, honeycomb energy is accelerating the implementation of production capacity, and has planned to build 11 production bases in the Yangtze River Delta, South China, Southwest China and Europe. At the end of 2021, honeycomb energy officially released the leading bee 600 strategy, which will accelerate the mass production of innovative products such as “short knife” batteries, cobalt free batteries and jelly batteries, promote the high-quality development of global automobile and energy storage industries, and it is expected to achieve a global total production capacity of 600gwh in 2025.
Honeycomb energy, the “rising star” of power battery, is like a “dark horse”, stirring up the whole market pattern. Recently, the global power battery leading enterprise Contemporary Amperex Technology Co.Limited(300750) sued honeycomb energy for unfair competition. The case will be held in the intermediate people’s Court of Ningde City, Fujian Province on February 23. Honeycomb energy responded on February 15 that the Contemporary Amperex Technology Co.Limited(300750) lawsuit involves employee non competition. The company is actively preparing to respond to the lawsuit and believes that the court will make a fair judgment.
