Li Xiaopeng, Minister of transport, requested to fully promote the work of carbon peak neutralization in transportation. First, pay close attention to the optimization of transportation structure. Accelerate the construction of a comprehensive three-dimensional transportation network, accelerate the development of multimodal transport with railways and waterways as the backbone, build a perfect, reasonable and convenient urban and rural public transport system, and promote the integrated development of new technologies and transportation formats. Second, promote the application of energy-saving and low-carbon equipment. We will accelerate the development of new and clean energy vehicles and ships, strengthen the replacement of transportation electrification, accelerate the renewal and transformation of old means of transport, and promote the tackling of cutting-edge technologies. Third, focus on green and low-carbon travel. Comprehensively promote the construction of transit metropolis, improve the supply capacity of public transport, actively carry out green travel creation actions, and guide the public to give priority to green travel modes. Fourth, pay close attention to the economical and intensive utilization of resources. Make overall use of resources such as line location, land and airspace of comprehensive transportation channels, encourage different modes and different levels of linear transportation infrastructure to share channels, and vigorously promote energy-saving and environmental protection materials and processes.
