In 2022, there will be 650 formal key construction projects in Guangzhou, with an annual planned investment of 345.2 billion yuan. Among them, there are 21 key projects in intelligent and new energy vehicle industry, with a total investment of 41.9 billion yuan.
Xiaopeng automobile, the first echelon of the new forces of car making, is a large-scale player in key projects in Guangzhou. The investment amounts of Xiaopeng passenger car base project and Xiaopeng science and technology park are 10 billion yuan and 4 billion yuan respectively.
Intelligent networked new energy vehicles are the strategic pillar industry of Guangzhou. According to the notice, there will be four new energy vehicle capacity construction projects in Guangzhou in 2022, involving a total capacity of 720000 vehicles, including the capacity expansion of 200000 vehicles of GAC Toyota, 200000 vehicles of passenger vehicles of GAC's own brand, 120000 vehicles of GAC Honda and 200000 vehicles of GAC ea'an No. 2 plant.
In addition to the whole vehicle, there are also two major power battery projects. The era GAC power battery construction project plans to build a 12gwh / year supply capacity of cells and CTP battery packs, and the GAC AIAN independent cell production and manufacturing project will build a power battery production line with a capacity of 0.4gwh. The construction project of modern automobile hydrogen fuel cell system / stack will also bring vitality to the fuel cell automobile industry chain.
It is also worth noting that the national intelligent connected vehicle demonstration area in Huadu District is expected to be completed in 2024, which means further improving the layout of intelligent connected vehicles.
