On February 8, poly GCL announced that its five enterprises, including Ningxia GCL, Suzhou GCL, Jiangsu Zhongneng, Xuzhou Cecep Solar Energy Co.Ltd(000591) and Funing GCL, had passed the authoritative recognition and were listed on the list of "national high-tech enterprises" again.
Previously, GCL silicon materials, Henan GCL, Xinjiang GCL and Yangzhou GCL have been re recognized as national high-tech enterprises in 2020. So far, nine enterprises under poly GCL have been rated as national high-tech enterprises.
"High tech enterprises are assessed every three years, mainly from two dimensions: one is the growth of the enterprise, including the operating profit and business growth of the enterprise; the other is the scientific research ability of the enterprise, including intellectual property rights and scientific research transformation. These two aspects have always been the unique advantages of poly GCL." Liu Tao, director of the chief engineer's office of poly GCL Central Research Institute, said.
Granular silicon business is one of the black scientific and technological achievements of poly GCL scientific and technological innovation. In November 2021, Jiangsu Zhongneng's first 20000 ton granular silicon modularization project was put into operation. So far, the total production capacity of granular silicon has reached 30000 tons, which fully has the replication ability of "systematization, standardization, digitization, integration, intelligence and modularization" of granular silicon production capacity.
At the end of October 2021, China energy silicon received the GCL carbon footprint certificate of granular silicon products issued by the French environmental and energy control agency, which proved that the carbon footprint value of the company for each kilogram of granular silicon produced by the company was 37.000 kg carbon dioxide equivalent. This is the first "carbon footprint ID card" certified by foreign authorities in terms of granular silicon obtained by China so far. The carbon footprint value of "37.000" has greatly refreshed the global "lowest" - 57.559 kg of carbon dioxide equivalent per functional unit, which was previously created by Wacker.

The relevant person in charge of poly GCL said that since its establishment, the company has achieved major scientific research breakthroughs in GCL rod silicon process, FBR granular silicon technology and CCZ technology.
