Recently, a cargo ship loaded with 203000 tons of imported iron ore docked at Tianjin Port Co.Ltd(600717) Nanjiang No. 11 wharf and used the on-site solid waste screening instrument of mineral products (hereinafter referred to as “solid waste screening instrument”). Within 2 hours, the customs inspectors completed the relevant screening of the batch of goods. After determining that the sample was normal and the dose rate did not exceed the standard, the goods began unloading.
The solid waste screening instrument mentioned here is jointly developed by Tianjin Customs laboratory and fangweishi company in recent years. It is mainly used for rapid screening of solid waste attributes of imported mineral products. It is understood that the equipment has filled the gap in the professional field outside China and reached the international leading level in the multi-mode and multi-optical coupling detection technology of solid waste properties.
According to the staff of Tianjin Customs, the solid waste screening instrument adopts the integration scheme of various spectral technologies and nuclear radiation detection technologies, and integrates three technologies: laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy, near-infrared spectroscopy and radiation detection. It can realize the functions of radiation dose detection of mineral products, fast screening of solid waste attributes, detection of harmful elements and product name verification, Further improve the efficiency of customs supervision by realizing “pre interception and entry refusal”.
Moreover, due to the characteristics of small volume and easy to carry, the equipment can be moved at any time between different inspection sites. Troubleshooting can be carried out in Anchorage, berth, unloading and other links, and it takes only 10 minutes for a single sample from sampling to judgment, which also helps to greatly improve the customs clearance efficiency of bulk mineral products.
“In the past, the imported bulk mineral products need to be sampled in each batch and sent to a special laboratory for testing. The results can be obtained in at least 24 hours. Now the customs can quickly screen beside the ship, which greatly improves the efficiency of customs clearance at the port.” Tianjin Port Co.Ltd(600717) said the on-site dispatching director of Yuanhang ore terminal.
It is reported that the instrument has established an identification model database of more than 1000 batches of iron ore samples imported from more than 20 ports across the country, which provides knowledge reserves and regulatory basis for the identification and comparison of mineral products. At present, using this instrument, 100% of the bulk mineral products imported from Tianjin port can realize the rapid screening of solid waste before unloading.
