In January this year, an additional 10000 tons of trains were opened on the Haoji railway, making their shunting operations even busier.

The “10000 ton train” operated by Haoji railway is currently composed of 105 special gondolas for coal. The total length of the train is 1350 meters. The maximum total traction weight of single trip is 10500 tons, twice that of the past.

“Before the first pass, after the second pass, three air ducts and four hooks” to complete such shunting operation process, they have to repeat 40 times a day, walk about 25 kilometers and climb up and down hundreds of times.

It is this flying tiger team that organizes vehicles filled with coal to form a 10000 ton “dragon”, so that the coal from Inner Mongolia and Northern Shaanxi can be transported more and faster to the South thousands of miles away.

The “10000 ton train” opened by Haoji railway has not only brought new challenges to the marshalling and maintenance personnel, but also brought a new driving experience to the drivers driving 10000 ton trains.

Haoji railway runs from the Loess Plateau with an altitude of more than 1400 meters to the plain in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River with an altitude of only a few tens of meters. The North-South height difference is nearly 1400 meters. It is a major coal transportation railway transportation channel with the most ramps. The 10000 ton train has great impact and inertia, and it is more difficult to operate.
