The top ten global power battery installed capacity in 2021 are: Contemporary Amperex Technology Co.Limited(300750) , LG new energy, Panasonic, Byd Company Limited(002594) , SK on, Samsung SDI, China Innovation Airlines (AVIC lithium battery), Gotion High-Tech Co.Ltd(002074) , vision power and honeycomb energy.

According to the latest data, the global installed capacity of Contemporary Amperex Technology Co.Limited(300750) (300750, hereinafter referred to as Contemporary Amperex Technology Co.Limited(300750) ) in the field of power batteries reached 96.7gwh last year, with a market share of 32.6%, ranking first in the world.

It is understood that this is the fifth consecutive year that Contemporary Amperex Technology Co.Limited(300750) has ascended the throne of the world’s largest power battery enterprise. As of the closing on February 7, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co.Limited(300750) was reported at 579.44 yuan / share, down 2.22% on the same day, with a total market value of about 1.35 trillion yuan, ranking fourth in the market value of a stock market.

The total global market share of the three Korean funded enterprises is 30.4%. LG new energy ranks second in the world, SK on ranks fifth in the world and Samsung SDI ranks sixth in the world. The battery installed capacity of the three Korean enterprises has achieved more than double-digit growth, but the market share has not achieved significant growth, or even a slight decline.

Driven by the rapid growth of the Chinese market, the market share of Chinese enterprises is on the rise, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co.Limited(300750) , Byd Company Limited(002594) , China Innovation Airlines (formerly AVIC lithium battery), Gotion High-Tech Co.Ltd(002074) , vision power and honeycomb energy are shortlisted in the list. Byd Company Limited(002594) ranked fourth, with an installed capacity of 26.3gwh and a market share of 8.8%. The other four Chinese enterprises ranked seventh to tenth on the list, with a total market share of 7.2%.

Among the six Chinese funded enterprises, in addition to the long-term driving force mainly supporting international automobile enterprises, the growth rate of the other five companies exceeded 100%. Among them, the battery installed capacity of Contemporary Amperex Technology Co.Limited(300750) and Byd Company Limited(002594) increased by more than 167% year-on-year, and the installed capacity of honeycomb energy increased by more than 430% year-on-year.

According to SNE research, the total amount of electric vehicle batteries registered by countries around the world in 2021 was 296.8gwh, more than doubling year-on-year (102.18%). Despite the adverse factors such as the shortage of semiconductor supply and the re spread of coronavirus, the field of power batteries began to recover in the third quarter of 2020 and has maintained a stable high growth trend so far.

In addition, SNE research also released the global power battery installed capacity data in December 2021, totaling 43.7gwh, with a year-on-year increase of 53.2%. This indicates that the installed capacity of global power batteries has increased for 18 consecutive months.
