Recently, the Chinese Medical Association announced the list of winners of the 2021 Chinese medical science and technology award. The “establishment and clinical application of the core treatment system for pelvic and acetabular fractures” project participated by Allgens Medical Technology Co.Ltd(688613) won the first prize of the Chinese medical science and technology award. A series of academic and clinical transformation contributions of the company in bone repair materials have become one of the core supporting elements of this award.
It is reported that the award-winning project is led by the Union Hospital Affiliated to Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of science and technology, Allgens Medical Technology Co.Ltd(688613) , Tsinghua University and other powerful and influential enterprises and scientific research institutes in China. The pelvic acetabular fracture concerned by the project is the most serious trauma in orthopedics, with high bleeding, disability and mortality. It has always been a great challenge for orthopedics doctors all over the world. The project has created a core technical system of hemostatic first aid and minimally invasive precise treatment of pelvic and acetabular fractures, and achieved a number of original achievements.
A large number of clinical application studies have proved that the bionic artificial bone repair material of Allgens Medical Technology Co.Ltd(688613) can significantly improve the quality of bone graft reconstruction and late joint replacement for complex pelvic and acetabular fractures with fracture nonunion and bone defect. Relevant scientific research and industrialization work have formulated one pharmaceutical industry standard of the people’s Republic of China, published two English academic monographs, and the results have been written into four Chinese teaching materials. It is noteworthy that the study has also received positive comments from eight academicians, including Professor mikos AG, academician of the two American academies (elected as a foreign academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2021), and Professor stuppi, academician of the Chinese Academy of engineering. As of May 2021, it has been cited in 19 English Monographs.
It is understood that the Chinese medical science and technology award is the national science and Technology Award for the medical and health industry established by the Chinese Medical Association, which aims to reward individuals and collectives with outstanding contributions in the field of medical science and technology. The award is reviewed once a year and divided into first prize, second prize and third prize. In principle, no more than 80 awards are awarded each year, of which the proportion of first prize is no more than 10%. In 2021, a total of 8 projects won the first prize of China Medical Science and technology award.
