Reuters reported on February 1 that Sony interactive entertainment, a game subsidiary of Sony, said it would acquire Bungie, a video game software maker, for $3.6 billion.
According to interface news, Bungie is headquartered in Washington state and has more than 900 employees. Founded in 1991, it was acquired by Microsoft in 2000 and launched the first work of halo in 2001. Halo is now the most important game brand of Microsoft Xbox.
Bungie separated from Microsoft in 2007, signed a 10-year distribution contract with Activision Blizzard in 2010, launched the shooting game "destiny" series, and broke up with Activision Blizzard in 2019.
