Dongjian line, located in Lianhua Town, Tong’an, is a section of provincial highway 507. In mid December last year, the supporting project of Dongjian line (Lianhua Expressway intersection Shangling Village section) of the demonstration section of Sihao rural road leading to Junying village was officially started. The construction content includes three major contents: overall landscape improvement, traffic safety project improvement, intelligent transportation system and intelligent bus station.
The starting point of this upgrading and reconstruction is Lianhua exit of Xiasha Expressway and the end point is Shangling village, Tong’an, with a total length of about 11.35 kilometers. It is divided into the section of Lianhua town at the foot of the mountain and the intersection of Xiangxi forest farm at the top of the mountain to Lingcun Village. The section involved in the project is an important road to Gaoshan Party School in military camp village, which is a class IV Highway.
“This is a livelihood project conducive to the development of Shangling village. The appearance of villages along the line will be further improved. The village will fully support and cooperate with the promotion of the project.” Zhan Yaqiong, Party branch secretary of Shangling village, said that she was a native of Shangling village. When she was a child, the Dongjian line was still a dirt road with no street lights, few traffic safety facilities, few villagers left the village and few people entered the village. The development of the village was limited to a certain extent.
In the 1990s, Dongjian railway changed from dirt road to asphalt penetration pavement. After several rounds of upgrading and transformation, the road is more comfortable and beautiful, and the greening along the line is more colorful. Zhan Yaqiong said that the industry of Shangling village is mainly agriculture. The promotion of Dongjian line has brought tourism resources to Shangling village. More and more tourists come to the village, and the villagers can sell agricultural and sideline products at their home. Moreover, it has become more convenient for villagers to go out to start businesses and work, and the family economic income has further increased.

Build intelligent transportation system and move towards intelligent and information management and maintenance
“Four good rural roads” is a people’s livelihood project, popular support project and moral government project personally proposed and promoted by the general secretary of Xi Jinping . The relevant person in charge of the highway center of the Municipal Transportation Bureau said that with the increasingly hot development of rural tourism such as Junying village and baijiaoci village, the traffic flow of rural roads leading to Junying village is also increasing. From the perspective of implementing the Rural Revitalization Strategy, whether agriculture is strong or not, whether rural areas are beautiful or not, and whether farmers are rich or not, “four good rural roads” is the foundation and key. It is also an important infrastructure for industrial prosperity, ecological livability, rural civilization, effective governance and rich life. It is a strong guarantee for the modernization of agriculture and rural areas.
According to the staff of the highway center of the Municipal Bureau of transportation, the landscape improvement of the project includes increasing the planting of triangular plum and camellia, beautifying and improving the slope, and creating a flower border in the included corners along the line, so as to create a landscape effect with flowers in four seasons; The improvement of traffic safety engineering includes highway repair engineering, improvement of security engineering, addition of environmental protection and energy-saving signs, signs, etc; The intelligent transportation system includes the addition of intelligent identification system, overtaking warning system in dangerous sections beyond visual range, intelligent highway maintenance system, etc., as well as the construction and transformation of five intelligent bus stations.
“This upgrading and reconstruction is a qualitative leap. It is not only the comprehensive upgrading of this section of rural roads, but also the promotion of rural roads to intelligent and information management and maintenance.” For example, in this promotion, microwave radar (curve passing warning system) is set at both ends of some over the horizon dangerous sections such as curves with small radius of curvature and continuous uphill and downhill. When the radar detects that a vehicle is about to pass, the opposite early warning facilities will release early warning information through sound, light and electricity through wireless transmission to remind vehicles and pedestrians to avoid opposite vehicles, Avoid traffic accidents.
It is reported that at present, the greening has been completed by 25%, the construction of smart bus station has been completed by 50%, and the intelligent equipment is being purchased. The installation will be fully started after the Spring Festival. The whole project is expected to be completed in early April this year.

Supplement the short board of transportation infrastructure and build a “fast lane” for rural development
Before 2021, the rural road leading to the military camp village will undergo two rounds of upgrading. According to the staff of the highway center of the Municipal Transportation Bureau, in 2013, about 12 kilometers of rural roads leading to the military camp village were reconstructed and upgraded. The project starts from Lianhua exit of Xiasha Expressway and ends at Luoxi. The upgrading and reconstruction mainly includes the reinforcement of many bridges along the line, and the upgrading and reconstruction of oil residue pavement into asphalt pavement, so as to improve the safety factor of the overall section and further improve the appearance, flatness and comfort of the pavement.
In 2019, the Tong’an Highway Department conducted a comprehensive investigation of the rural roads leading to the military camp village to “make up for the shortcomings”, and started the upgrading and reconstruction again for the places with deficiencies. The project starts from Lianhua exit of Xiasha Expressway and ends at the junction of Tong’an and Changtai, with a total length of about 18 kilometers. The upgrading contents include pavement resurfacing, additional traffic safety facilities, signs and markings, etc., so as to further improve the road quality.
The relevant person in charge of the highway center of the Municipal Transportation Bureau said that they gave full play to the leading role of Party construction, carried out in-depth study and education of party history and the activities of “re study, re investigation and re implementation”, took “I do practical things for the masses” as the carrier, and comprehensively improved the construction of supporting roads for the “four good rural roads” of Dongjian line in combination with the special plan for agricultural and rural development in Xiamen during the 14th five year plan.
