Newland Digital Technology Co.Ltd(000997) Huang Lisong, head of the digital RMB business of the Winter Olympic Games, said: “since the early pilot, the company has continuously cooperated with institutions such as the digital currency Research Institute to jointly explore the technical reserves and feasibility analysis of digital RMB in cross-border payment and settlement in the future.” Recently, the company fully cooperated with the construction of the head office level digital currency laboratory and successfully upgraded and put into operation the digital RMB acquiring system in Singapore, which is also the company’s first digital RMB overseas business.
The company said that Newland Digital Technology Co.Ltd(000997) is also making technical reserves in the process of actively exploring the diversification of digital RMB application scenarios and payment methods. At present, the company has obtained seven digital currency software copyrights. In the future, with the promotion and internationalization of digital RMB, the company will occupy the commanding heights in the intellectual property rights of core technologies.
The latest performance forecast disclosed by the company shows that the company expects a net profit of 680 million yuan to 770 million yuan in 2021, an increase of 50% to 70% over the same period in 2020. The company said that the substantial increase in revenue was mainly due to the large-scale sales of the company’s overseas business of Internet of things equipment in many countries and regions. The sales mode of overseas products has changed from distribution channels to localized self-produced and self-sale, and the sales scale has maintained a good growth.
