The core test equipment of the on-site no-load test is the 5000 kW variable frequency power supply provided by the State Grid Qinghai Suzhou Electrical Apparatus Science Academy Co.Ltd(300215) . In the early stage, the equipment has completed the factory test of several ± 800 kV ring rheometers and 750 kV main transformers in high altitude areas.

The on-site no-load test is of great significance to assess the core assembly process and performance of Large Transformers after on-site assembly. At the same time, it can also be used to diagnose the power failure of abnormal transformers and check the abnormal heating and other problems.

The on-site no-load test of 500 kV main transformer in Butuo converter station, the tested transformer is a three-phase integrated transformer with a voltage of 500 kV and a capacity of 1000 kVA.
