Japanese epidemic spread, Toyota and other enterprises temporarily shut down factories

The mutant covid-19 virus Omicron strain spread rapidly in Japan. Due to employees infected with covid-19 virus or close contacts with confirmed cases, and the blocked supply of parts, many factories in Japan have been forced to temporarily stop production recently. Toyota Motor Company said recently that because Japanese and Chinese suppliers were affected by the epidemic and could not normally provide parts, the company decided to temporarily shut down 20 production lines in 11 factories. In addition, Toyota also adjusted its production plan for next month, and 11 production lines of eight factories will temporarily stop production in February.
