On May 23, at the "BRICs industrial Internet and digital manufacturing development forum", Li Dongsheng, founder and chairman of TCL, proposed that at present, China's manufacturing industry has high-quality development opportunities and challenges, and the industrial Internet and other new generation information technologies are the key to breaking the situation.
Li Dongsheng also proposed that "the industrial Internet injects new momentum into the high-quality development of manufacturing industry". Specifically, the industrial Internet can accelerate the transformation of manufacturing industry to be intelligent, green and service-oriented. From the perspective of enterprises, the industrial Internet can help enterprises build intelligent factories, improve production efficiency and operation capacity, and enhance the comprehensive competitiveness of enterprises. From the perspective of industry, the industrial Internet is moving from production line to industrial chain, driving the overall connectivity and upgrading of manufacturing industry chain and value chain.
Globally, since the concept of industrial Internet was put forward in 2012, developed economies such as the European Union and developing economies such as China and ASEAN have followed up and issued relevant policies on the digital transformation of manufacturing industry.
"The industrial Internet has provided common opportunities and technological impetus for countries around the world to achieve green recovery and sustainable development. The digital transformation of manufacturing industry has also become a strategic consensus and key starting point for countries around the world to promote economic growth and maintain competitive advantage." Li Dongsheng said.
