This week’s special topic: perc, TOPCON, hjt and IBC, what are the differences in the technical routes of each battery?

1) perc: the process flow of perc battery is relatively simple and the equipment is mature. In recent two years, some efficiency improvement processes have been equipped as standard, such as laser se, alkali polishing, optical injection / electric injection, etc. Perc technology mainly focuses on the deposition of back passivation layer and laser slotting. Subsequent process improvement and optimization are based on this, including front se laser and optical injection / electric injection annealing.

2) TOPCON: first prepare a 1 ~ 2nm tunneling oxide layer on the back of the battery, and then deposit a layer of doped polysilicon. The two together form a passivation contact structure to provide good interface passivation for the back of the silicon wafer.

3) hjt: take n-type monocrystalline silicon (c-Si) as the light absorption region of the substrate. After flocking and cleaning, the front surface is successively deposited with 5-10nm thick intrinsic amorphous silicon film (i-a-si: H) and doped p-type amorphous silicon (p-a-si: H), forming p-n heterojunction with the silicon substrate. On the back of the silicon wafer, the back surface field is formed by depositing i-a-si: H with a thickness of 5-10nm and doped n-type amorphous silicon (n-a-si: H). The transparent conductive oxide film (TCO) is deposited on both sides. Finally, the metal base electrode is formed on the top layers on both sides by screen printing, which is the typical structure of heterojunction cell.

4) IBC: place the P + doped area and N + doped area on the Cecep Solar Energy Co.Ltd(000591) battery on the back of the battery (non light receiving surface). The light receiving surface of IBC battery is not blocked by any metal electrode, so as to effectively increase the short-circuit current of the battery and improve the energy conversion efficiency of the battery.
