This week’s topic: gas sensor is a device that converts the information such as gas composition and concentration into information that can be used by personnel, instruments and computers. Gas sensor is usually used to detect the type, concentration and composition of gas. There are many kinds of gas sensor technologies with different classification dimensions. They are divided into four categories: electrochemical, infrared, contact combustion and semiconductor gas sensors in different ways of reaction. They are classified according to the reaction mechanism, mainly including electrochemical, electrical resistance, optical, ultrasonic and other sensing technologies. Both contact combustion and semiconductor gas sensors belong to the electrical resistance route. In 2020, electrochemical sensing technology accounted for 52.88%, followed by infrared technology (belonging to optical sensing), accounting for 24.06%. Different types of gas detectors mainly detect different gases, and there are also certain differences in performance. Semiconductor gas detector mainly detects combustible gas and toxic gas. Catalytic combustion is generally used for combustible gas detection, electrochemistry is generally used for toxic gas, oxygen and alcohol detection, and infrared optics is generally used for combustible gas and carbon dioxide detection. The core performance indexes of gas sensor are stability, sensitivity, selectivity and reliability. The upstream of the gas sensor industry chain is the industry of gas sensitive materials, metal materials, wire rods, electronic components, integrated circuits and other raw materials, and the downstream is the industry of gas detection instruments and meters. There are many terminal application fields. The downstream demand fields of gas detectors are very wide, covering industry, agriculture, transportation, science and technology, environmental protection, national defense, aerospace and daily life, and the proportion of each field is relatively scattered, The industrial sector as a whole accounts for a relatively high proportion. In terms of the downstream market application of gas sensors in China, the main application fields include important industrial fields such as coal, petrochemical and oil and gas stations. The application of coal industry accounts for 14%, petrochemical accounts for 13% and oil and gas stations account for 11%. The rest includes industrial scenes such as metallurgy and chemical industry and civil scenes such as air quality and food. From 2016 to 2021, the average annual compound growth rate of China’s sensors was about 16%. In 2020, the output value share of China’s gas sensors accounted for nearly 1 / 3 of the overall sensor market, with a scale of more than 60 billion yuan. International gas sensor enterprises are mainly concentrated in the United States, Japan and Europe, mainly including city technology, Figaro, Amphenol, Bosch, Sensirion, AMS, etc. On the whole, the gas sensing technology level of Chinese enterprises still lags behind that of international gas sensor enterprises. Chinese gas sensor enterprises mainly include Hanwei Electronics Group Corporation(300007) , Cubic Sensor And Instrument Co.Ltd(688665) , panteng technology, Beijing Yishan Technology Co., Ltd., Shenzhen lanyue measurement and Control Technology Co., Ltd. With the continuous expansion of applications, the demand of the gas sensing industry is expected to maintain stable growth, the industrial technology and industrial iteration are accelerated, the technology of Chinese enterprises continues to catch up, and the domestic substitution process will also be steadily promoted.
Risk factors such as repeated epidemic situation and policy changes.
