US consumer news and business channel (CNBC) reported on May 4 that Tesla CEO musk has been invited to testify in the UK Parliament on its $44 billion acquisition of twitter.
Julian knight, chairman of the UK Parliament’s digital, cultural, media and Sports Committee, wrote to musk asking him to discuss his acquisition proposal “in greater depth” in the UK Parliament.
“As social media companies face tighter regulation worldwide, we would like to know how Mr. musk will balance his clear commitment to freedom of expression with his new obligation to protect Twitter users from online harm,” Knight said in a statement on Wednesday
