When it comes to finding a job, it seems that the employment direction of many people is always limited to the traditional 360 lines of routine contact. In fact, in the current social life, many new occupations representing new technologies and new trends are constantly emerging. From 2019 to 2021, the Ministry of human resources and social security has released four batches of 56 new career directories for skilled personnel. Are these "new jobs" in the new era easy to do? What are the new requirements for a new career?
UAVs have become the standard configuration of "new farmers", and drivers and maintenance personnel have become sweet pastries
In 2010, the first commercial plant protection UAV was delivered to the market, which officially opened the prelude to the industrialization of plant protection UAVs in China. With the opening of the curtain of agricultural mechanization and intellectualization, owning a UAV has become the standard configuration of "new farmers".
As the "new favorite" of farmland, the work efficiency of a plant protection UAV is equivalent to 60 labor forces. However, the operation, assembly, maintenance and other "one-stop" services of UAV need professional technicians to operate. New occupations such as UAV driver and UAV assembly, adjustment and maintenance worker came into being.
The UAV suddenly lost control and crashed during operation, which was called "bombing" by users. This emergency is not only the most feared by users, but also the most difficult problem for technicians in UAV maintenance points to deal with.
In Lu'an, Anhui Province, twin brothers Wang youyue and Wang Youfei operate a UAV maintenance point, covering seven districts and counties of Lu'an. In the past year or two, more and more local farmers have used UAVs. In the slack season, they have to repair at least thirty or four UAVs every day, while in the busy season, they have to repair more than thirty UAVs a day, with a monthly income of twenty or thirty thousand yuan.
The average monthly income is million yuan, which is about twice the average wage in Lu'an. For the 22-year-old Wang youyue brothers, they are more than many peers. However, it is not easy to get the job of assembling and maintaining UAVs. Some relevant mechanical knowledge and maintenance technology must be familiar with the heart.
Although Wang youyue is quick and skilled in repairing UAVs, just two years ago, the twin brothers of the Wang family could only make a living by taking some odd jobs in family decoration. They could earn up to four or five thousand yuan a month. Their income was unstable and their work was dirty and tired. By chance, they saw that the UAV decoration site was recruiting UAV assembly and maintenance personnel. Seeing that the salary was good, the brothers learned from the master.
Under the patient and meticulous training of Master Wang Jiaxin, the brothers learned one by one from fault detection, blade installation, and then replacement of various maintenance modules, and completed the basic training in more than two months.
The apprentice is thirsty for knowledge and the master teaches seriously. In Wang Jiaxin's opinion, every UAV maintenance is a race against time. Especially in the busy farming season, once the UAV breaks down, every minute and second is very important to the user.
After working as an unmanned aircraft installation, commissioning and maintenance worker for two years, many new changes have taken place in the lives of Wang youyue and Wang Youfei brothers. With abundant money and strong spending power, his brother Wang youyue bought himself a new laptop not long ago. To his surprise, because of this new job, he also met his fiancee.
Gao Maojun is a UAV pilot and is called "flying hand" by villagers. Whoever needs drones to sow, medicine and fertilize in his field will come and invite him. During the busy farming season, he is very popular as a "flying hand".
Gao Maojun told reporters that the area where he operates aircraft for plant protection operations every year is about 50000 mu. According to the local market, he will charge seven or eight yuan for plant protection with UAVs per mu of land. After a year, Gao Maojun's income is at least 300000 yuan.
In Dayi County, Chengdu, Sichuan, Zhong Xiaotao, who retired from the army, also became a UAV installation, commissioning and maintenance worker after participating in vocational skills training at the local military affairs bureau.
Due to the excellent technology, some users from other places also came in admiration. When the reporter interviewed, some users came with the crashed UAV from Dazhou more than 400 kilometers away for help. Because of urgent needs, the users drove for six hours overnight.
Zhong Xiaotao and his partners immediately entered the state and began to repair. After working continuously for more than 4 hours, the UAV was finally repaired.
Zhong Xiaotao told reporters that when he just retired from the army, he was a little lost and felt it was difficult to find a job he liked, decent and well paid. Until later, I worked on UAV maintenance.

According to the analysis report on the employment boom of UAV installation, commissioning and maintenance workers released by the Ministry of human resources and social security, by 2025, the output value of civil UAVs in China will reach 180 billion yuan. With the continuous expansion of UAV applications in forest fire fighting, logistics and transportation, surveying and mapping, agriculture, forestry and plant protection, it is expected that the demand for UAV installation, commissioning and maintenance workers will be 3.5 million in the next three to five years.
Both the "analysis report on the employment situation of UAV installation, commissioning and maintenance workers" and the reporter felt the growth space of this new occupation during the front-line investigation.
