On April 13, bubble wine brand greater than or equal to nine (hereinafter referred to as “Dajiu bubble wine”) announced the completion of round a financing led by Dazheng capital. This is another round of financing after the brand obtained tens of millions of yuan last October.

The upcoming summer vacation may usher in a small peak in the demand for sparkling wine, and the team will also enter an important expansion period in the second quarter. It is reported that this round of funds will be used by the team for brand construction, channel expansion, marketing cooperation and other aspects, aiming to lay out the market in advance.

Big nine gas liquor is a low alcohol drink launched by Beijing all things revival Brand Management Co. Ltd., which is invested by France DOMAINES ET TERROIRS DE FRANCE, Australia Pacific Vintners and the first Internet plus wine cross border B2B business platform in China.

The brand focuses on the characteristics of “0 fat”, “light truck” and “tide drink”. Its alcohol degree is mostly about 3% vol, which belongs to the category of low alcohol wine. The target customers are mainly young lovers of low alcohol sparkling wine and fruit wine. Compared with high count wines and traditional wines, low alcohol wines can appear in more young social scenes, and their taste choices are more diverse. Sparkling wine integrates carbonated drinks and alcohol, which is between wine and beverage, forming a new type of wine and beverage.

Earlier, Rio (Ruiao) pre mixed cocktails and other low alcohol wine brands under Shanghai Bairun Investment Holding Group Co.Ltd(002568) ( Shanghai Bairun Investment Holding Group Co.Ltd(002568) ) have gained a certain popularity, and new low alcohol wine brands such as missberry (berry sweetheart) and Lanzhou low alcohol fruit wine have also emerged one after another.

In the field of investment, low alcohol wine is not an emerging track. Miss berry obtained three rounds of financing from Jingwei venture capital, country garden venture capital, Budweiser InBev and other investment institutions in 2021; Lanzhou, a low alcohol liquor brand founded in 2020, also received investment from AB InBev last year. However, in the sparkling wine track, no other brand has received capital investment as frequently as 9 or more.

According to the data of AI media consulting, the market scale of low alcohol liquor is growing very fast. In 2017, its market scale was about 121.66 billion yuan, but by last year, its scale had reached 443.37 billion yuan, an increase of about 264% in just a few years.

The investor of this round, Dazheng capital, manages a number of US dollar and RMB funds, focusing on investment in medical and health, enterprise services, automobile transportation and other fields. He has invested in many IPOs such as Xiaopeng automobile, Kidswant Children Products Co.Ltd(301078) , Anneng logistics and Ruixing coffee, among which the investment in Ruixing coffee brand is worth mentioning.

After participating in round a and round B of Ruixing coffee in July and December 2018, Dazheng capital also agreed to subscribe for its US $240 million senior convertible preferred shares through the company’s private placement in April 2021. Previously, Ruixing coffee was asked to delist from Nasdaq in May 2020 due to financial fraud charges. However, as an investor, Dazheng capital did not give up Ruixing.

Thanks to its own efforts and the support of investors, Ruixing coffee did not undergo bankruptcy liquidation after its delisting, and its operation in China was not greatly affected.

In January 2022, Dazheng capital announced that its buyer group, including IDG capital and Ares SSG capital management, had completed the acquisition of some shareholders’ equity of Ruixing coffee. Ruixing coffee officially got rid of the relationship with former management Lu Zhengyao and its related parties in terms of shares. Dazheng capital will own more than 50% of the voting rights of Ruixing coffee and become the controlling shareholder of the company.

From the investors who participated in the three rounds of Ruixing investment to the controlling shareholder, Dazheng capital’s investment in more than or equal to 9 has also attracted more attention to the bubble wine track.
