LV Guixin, a first-class inspector of the raw material industry department of the Ministry of industry and information technology, said at the third meeting of the Sixth General Meeting of China Iron and Steel Industry Association on January 10 that we should further improve the development quality of the industry. Recently, the “14th five year plan” for the development of raw material industry has been released, the guiding opinions on promoting the high-quality development of the iron and steel industry and the implementation plan for carbon peak in the iron and steel industry will be issued one after another. In the next step, we should further publicize and implement these important policy documents, make great efforts to implement them, further promote industry mergers and acquisitions, and further improve the green, intelligent, high-end and service level of the industry.
LV Guixin said that in 2022, we plan to focus on the following aspects: first, continue to consolidate the achievements of dual control of production capacity and output, prohibit new production capacity, strictly replace production capacity, and orderly carry out peak shifting production in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei and surrounding areas. Second, carry out pilot demonstration of electric furnace steel development, and support areas and enterprises with better development of electric furnace steel to carry out high-quality development demonstration of electric furnace steel. Third, promote the pilot demonstration of intelligent manufacturing, build an intelligent manufacturing standard system for the iron and steel industry, and formulate a number of intelligent manufacturing standards for the iron and steel industry. Fourth, formulate the standard conditions for the iron ore industry, promote the significant improvement of the production capacity, scale and intensive level of China’s iron ore mountains, and improve the independent guarantee ability of iron ore. Fifthly, carry out standardized enterprise classification and management in the iron and steel industry, and create several iron and steel demonstration enterprises with representative achievements and high development quality in the fields of new materials, intelligent manufacturing, green and low carbon.
