The application of new materials not only effectively solves the shortage of subgrade construction materials and transportation problems, but also its average production cost is only 20% – 40% of cement, effectively replacing more than 50% of high energy consuming cement and carbon dioxide. At the same time, it can also solve the problem of waste residue treatment along the line, with remarkable economic and environmental benefits.

In addition, the phase I 6 contract also explores the “high-efficiency construction method of aeolian sand filling by temporarily widening the edge soil” in view of the phenomenon that it is easy for the hopper car to miss when carrying out the subgrade filling construction in the desert environment due to the physical characteristics of aeolian sand. The edge soil is used to build the construction access road, which effectively reduces the delay time of hopper car and speeds up the construction period of subgrade filling, It has improved the utilization rate of mechanical equipment, saved more than 8000 litres of diesel and reduced carbon dioxide emissions by more than 20 tons.
