Guangdong’s new energy industry revenue will reach 730 billion in 2025! Accelerate the cultivation of hydrogen energy industry

On April 13, the “14th five year plan” for energy development in Guangdong Province released on the official website of Guangdong provincial government revealed the development direction of energy industry in Guangdong Province during the 14th Five Year Plan period.

The plan proposes that Guangdong Province will promote the development of energy industry agglomeration, vigorously develop advanced nuclear energy, offshore wind power, Cecep Solar Energy Co.Ltd(000591) and other advantageous industries, accelerate the cultivation of emerging industries such as hydrogen energy, energy storage and smart energy, and build new energy industry agglomeration areas with differentiated layout. By 2025, the operating revenue of new energy industry in Guangdong Province will reach 730 billion yuan, forming a leading new energy industry cluster in China. Looking forward to 2035, Guangdong Province will make decisive progress in high-quality energy development, control the total energy consumption within 480 million tons of standard coal, and strive to increase the proportion of non fossil energy consumption to about 40%.

vigorously develop clean energy

The plan proposes that Guangdong Province will vigorously develop offshore wind power during the 14th Five Year Plan period. Develop offshore wind power on a large scale, promote the centralized and continuous development and utilization of projects, and build a 10 million KW offshore wind power base in eastern and western Guangdong. During the 14th Five Year Plan period, the installed capacity of offshore wind power increased by about 17 million KW.

During the 14th Five Year Plan period, the installed capacity of new photovoltaic power generation is about 20 million KW.

Actively, safely and orderly develop nuclear power. On the premise of ensuring safety, efficiently build Huizhou taipingling nuclear power phase I project, actively and orderly promote the commencement of Lufeng nuclear power, Lianjiang nuclear power and other projects, promote the preliminary work of subsequent projects, and do a good job in the protection of nuclear power plant sites. During the 14th Five Year Plan period, the installed capacity of new nuclear power was about 2.4 million KW.

The plan also proposes to accelerate the electrification of terminal energy consumption, actively implement electric energy substitution, focus on expanding the substitution scale and improving the substitution efficiency in the fields of transportation, construction, industry and Commerce and people’s livelihood, accelerate the popularization and application of new energy vehicles, and accelerate the construction of electric vehicle charging and replacement facilities. By the end of 2025, the province will strive to build 4500 charging stations and 250000 public charging piles, forming a convenient, efficient and moderately advanced charging network system. Accelerate the promotion of alternative applications such as port power and residential electrification, and study and promote the application of pure electric ship technology.

Hydrogen energy industry is one of the most concerned sectors in the market recently. The plan proposes that Guangdong should build a highland for the development of hydrogen energy industry, expand the hydrogen energy application market through multiple channels, focus on the research and development of hydrogen energy core technology and advanced equipment manufacturing, and speed up the cultivation of a full industry chain of hydrogen production, storage, processing and transportation, fuel cell stack, key parts and power system integration. Layout of hydrogen production from electrolytic water, hydrogen production from natural gas, and equipment manufacturing of industrial by-product hydrogen purification. Promote the manufacturing of high-density hydrogen storage equipment, strengthen the construction of high-pressure gaseous hydrogen storage in the short term, and lay out the industries of low-temperature liquid hydrogen and low-pressure solid hydrogen storage in the long term. Take advantage of the regional first mover advantage of low-temperature hydrogen fuel cell industry to form a fuel cell industry cluster in the core area of Guangzhou Shenzhen Foshan huandawan district.

Based on the global leading advantages in the manufacturing of SOFC (solid oxide fuel cell) electrolyte diaphragm and other core parts, develop SOFC and its complete set of distributed power generation equipment, promote the demonstration of combined cooling, heating and power supply of high-temperature fuel cell, and support the construction of large-scale civil liquid hydrogen demonstration project. Promote the industrial transfer of Foshan (Yunfu), the construction of Guangzhou Development Zone, Foshan Nanhai Xianhu hydrogen Valley, Foshan Gaoming and other hydrogen fuel cell industrial parks, and establish Guangzhou Shenzhen high temperature fuel cell and system R & D and manufacturing base. Establish high-end hydrogen energy equipment industrial clusters in Guangzhou, Foshan, Dongguan and Yunfu and hydrogen energy storage and transportation industrial clusters in Huizhou, Maoming, Dongguan and Zhanjiang.

Accelerate the development of advanced energy storage industry agglomeration, promote the demonstration and application of advanced energy storage in the power field, formulate the cost recovery mechanism of energy storage projects, innovate the operation mode of energy storage projects, strengthen the construction of energy storage standard system, and drive the development of the industry. Relying on leading enterprises in energy storage battery manufacturing, build an industrial agglomeration platform of “leading enterprises taking the lead and coordinated development of upstream and downstream industrial chains”, improve the degree of industrial agglomeration of new materials, battery cells, inverters, system integration and energy management, and promote the manufacturing of energy storage batteries with “high capacity, low cost, long life, high safety and easy recycling”. Promote the R & D and demonstration application of low-carbon and zero carbon technologies for end energy consumption in various fields, and promote the R & D of key technologies of electric energy substitution and hydrogen energy substitution. Break through key technologies such as large-scale co capture, CO biological and chemical utilization and co geological storage, strive to reduce the cost of technology application, and focus on key equipment such as new absorption / adsorption / membrane / catalyst and reactor and components.
