China Watch: an analysis of a report on happiness

Due to the surge in covid-19 pneumonia infection, Shanghai has strengthened the sealing and control management of the epidemic situation. During this period, I was lucky to focus on the recently released world happiness report. There is a strong positive correlation between per capita GDP and happiness, but happiness also seems to be affected by cultural factors. Gallup's rating of China shows that over time, happiness has increased from an average of 4.7% in 20062009 to 5.5% in 20192021. During these two three years, the per capita GDP increased by 2.5 times. At the same time, non economic factors also play a potential role in improving Chinese people's happiness.
