Gelonghui announced on April 4 – Hong Kong Aerospace Hi-Tech Holding Group Co.Ltd(000901) (01725. HK) that the first phase of the Golden Bauhinia Qilu satellite constellation will consist of nine satellites, and its construction and launch will be completed this year. All satellites will fly in formation. The first experimental satellite is jinzijing satellite 6, which is expected to be launched in July 2022, and the other eight operational satellites will be launched in December 2022, with the observation capability of eight spectral bands. Golden Bauhinia Qilu satellite constellation will serve the agricultural yield estimation, agricultural resource investigation, disaster prediction and smart city construction of Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao and Qilu land.
In 2023, the group will continue to put into production a number of remote sensing satellites, which will have different types of loads such as multispectral and synthetic aperture radar, and can comprehensively provide satellite remote sensing data and products fused with different bands. This will further expand the Golden Bauhinia constellation, improve the group’s ability to obtain various kinds of remote sensing big data information, data fusion processing capacity and other value-added services, and promote the development of ecological agriculture and Jiangsu Nonghua Intelligent Agriculture Technology Co.Ltd(000816) in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Bay area.
