Global 6G Technology Conference countdown

On March 22, the second "global 6G Technology Conference" co sponsored by the future mobile communication forum and Zijinshan laboratory will be held online.

By means of on-site discussion + global remote interaction, one conference report, nine special forums and two international round table discussions will carry out comprehensive exchanges and in-depth discussions on more than ten 6G key technology scenarios, and several 6G technology series white papers will also be released during the meeting.

China has always attached great importance to the development of 6G. In the outline of the 14th five year plan, China clearly proposed to "prospectively layout the 6G network technology reserve". It has successively established the national 6G technology R & D promotion working group, the overall expert group and the imt2030 (6g) promotion group, solidly promoted various work of 6G, and made positive progress.

In November 2020, the 6G project of a number of units such as Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications won the key special support of the 2020 national key R & D plan "broadband communication and new network". In May 2021, the Guangdong provincial government proposed that Guangdong speed up the layout of cutting-edge technologies such as 6G, terahertz, 8K, quantum information, brain like computing, neural chip and DNA storage. The development plan released by Hebei Provincial Department of industry and information technology also mentioned that a number of "commanding heights" technologies are deployed in advance in 5g / 6G communication and other fields.

Awesome thanks to the strength of policies and the active participation of all parties, China's 6G R & D, standardization and industrial cooperation have been accelerated again after entering the 2022.

In January this year, the 14th five year plan for the development of digital economy issued by the State Council proposed to prospectively lay out the sixth generation mobile communication (6g) network technology reserves, increase support for 6G technology research and development, and actively participate in promoting 6G international standardization.

In January 2022, Zijinshan laboratory released the 6G major innovation "360 ~ 430gh terahertz 100gbps real-time wireless transmission and communication experimental system", which broke the world's highest real-time transmission record of terahertz real-time wireless communication. Recently, China Mobile, Vodafone and uscellular jointly released the white paper on 6G application scenarios and analysis, which classifies 6G application scenarios into four categories and defines 14 general application scenarios.

At the "Ministerial channel" of the national two sessions this year, Xiao Yaqing, Minister of industry and information technology, mentioned that while developing 5g, we should consider the evolution direction and technical route of the next generation communication technology, and plan and deploy in advance for the development of the next generation communication technology 6G.

Previously, many countries and regions around the world have started 6G research: the European Union has put forward a relatively clear planning roadmap for 6G; Finland released the 6G white paper "drivers and major research challenges for 6G ubiquitous wireless intelligence"; The South Korean government puts forward the goal of "leading 6G commercialization" and plans to achieve the world's first 6G commercialization in 2028; Japan issued the b5g promotion strategic goal, completed the 6G basic technology research in 2025 and put it into commercial use in 2030; The United States has also started 6G research since 2018. The preliminary research includes the research on 6G chip, and carried out research and practice in aerospace Haiti integrated communication, especially Satellite Internet communication.
