On December 29, Shandong Jinan Huangtai independent energy storage demonstration project undertaken by China Energy Engineering Corporation Limited(601868) Tianjin Power Construction realized full capacity grid connection, marking the official operation of the world’s first 100 megawatt level decentralized control energy storage power station.
The project is located in Licheng District, Jinan City, Shandong Province, covering an area of about 30 mu, with a total investment of 401.49 million yuan. It adopts lithium iron phosphate battery, with a construction scale of 100 / 200 MW / h, including 104 sets of 1 / 2 MW / h battery energy storage systems and 52 PCs systems. Tianjin power construction is responsible for all civil works of the project.
The project is one of the five energy storage demonstration projects (peak shaving) in Shandong Province in 2021. It is an important starting point for Shandong to develop clean energy and promote high-quality economic development. It is a key link for building a new power system, realizing the “double carbon” goal, cultivating new business forms and expanding Shenzhen New Industries Biomedical Engineering Co.Ltd(300832) . The project has been listed in the project demand table of the “14th five year plan” for power development in Jinan, which will have a positive significance in alleviating the peak load regulation pressure of power grid in Shandong and promoting the optimization and upgrading of power structure in the future.
