2021 is the first year of the 14th five year plan. The strategic position of the pilot free trade zone has been further highlighted, the function of institutional innovation and opening up has been further highlighted, and the embodiment of policies and regulations has been continuously improved. Some pilot free trade zones have defined the new development objectives of the 14th five year plan and played an important role in building a new development pattern of China’s international double cycle and mutual promotion.
In 2021, China’s pilot free trade zone achieved fruitful institutional innovation, played a leading role in expanding opening-up, continued to expand the size of market players, further optimized the business environment, further highlighted industrial characteristics, and steadily promoted financial opening-up. Hainan free trade port, Shanghai Lingang Holdings Co.Ltd(600848) new film area, Hengqin Guangdong Hong Kong deep cooperation zone, Qianhai Shenzhen Hong Kong modern service industry cooperation zone and other regions have further highlighted their leading-edge opening pilot status.
Looking forward to the 14th five year plan, the pilot free trade zone will play an increasingly important role in carrying out high-level opening stress test, institutional innovation will continue to make breakthroughs, the leading role will become more prominent, and the industrial agglomeration ability will become more prominent. The negative list of cross-border service trade in the pilot free trade zone is expected to be launched, more breakthroughs in financial opening soy sauce, and some free trade zones may be further expanded.
