Huawei has made frequent moves in the field of intelligent vehicles this week.
1) On December 21, Huawei held the “smart car solution ecological forum”, proposed the development strategy of “platform + ecology” and built an ecosystem around the three platforms of idvp, MDC and harmonyos smart cockpit. At present, Huawei has about 300 partners in the field of smart cars, of which 57 have won the “excellent partner of Huawei smart car solution in 2021”, including Appotronics Corporation Limited(688007) , Shunyu optics, Boe Technology Group Co.Ltd(000725) , shentianma, Suzhou Sonavox Electronics Co.Ltd(688533) and other listed companies. At the same time, there are more than 140 member units of star flash alliance, including listed companies such as Goertek Inc(002241) , Hunan Goke Microelectronics Co.Ltd(300672) , Ofilm Group Co.Ltd(002456) , Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology Co.Ltd(002415) .
2) On December 23, Huawei officially released the first Hongmeng auto AITO world M5 jointly with Thales at the winter flagship new product conference, which is oriented to the high-end market. Compared with the Cyrus sF5 launched in the early stage, the query M5 follows the hicar and Huawei sound schemes, adopts the newly upgraded driveone pure electric drive range extension platform, and is equipped with Huawei Hongmeng intelligent cockpit. In terms of intelligent perception, the query M5 is equipped with L2 + level intelligent driving assistance system, and the whole vehicle is equipped with 23 sensors (8 cameras + 12 ultrasonic radars + 3 millimeter wave radars).
Review of Huawei’s smart car layout and comprehensive upgrade of strategy
Huawei’s smart car layout has a long history. Since 2013, it has successively released fist products such as on-board communication module, hicar platform and MDC. At the Shanghai auto show in April 2019, Huawei made its debut as Tier1 and became an incremental component supplier for intelligent networked vehicles. In October 2020, Huawei released the full stack intelligent vehicle solution brand Hi, including 1 computing and communication architecture, 5 intelligent systems and 30 + intelligent components. Based on this, Huawei provides three service modes: 1) compared with the traditional Tier1 supplier, it only provides intelligent hardware; 2) Based on Huawei domain centralized architecture, build a platform for OEM through three computing platforms: MDC, CDC and VDC; 3) “Hi” mode provides a complete set of intelligent solutions. The main cooperative vehicle enterprises include BAIC new energy (extreme fox alpha s), Chang’an (avita) and GAC.
For the AITO M5 released this time, Huawei and Thales adopted the cooperation mode of “parts + consignment”. Huawei has been deeply involved in the early planning, design and later marketing and sales, and the cooperation has been comprehensively deepened.
Investment advice
This year, the wave of electrification has pushed up IGBT and SiC plates; Next year will be the first year of intelligence. At present, intellectualization is at the singularity of spanning the industry from L2 to L3. Around this trend, vehicle optics, lidar, automotive acoustics, display, connector and Automotive PCB will usher in a new round of growth cycle. Relevant targets deserve high attention.
