The Executive Committee of the Yangtze River Delta integration demonstration zone, the cultural and tourism departments of Shanghai, Jiangsu and Zhejiang, and the people’s governments of Qingpu District of Shanghai, Wujiang District of Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, and Jiashan County, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province recently jointly issued the three-year (2021-2023) action plan for the construction of ecological and cultural tourism circle in Jiangnan Water Town of the Yangtze River Delta ecological and green integration development demonstration zone (hereinafter referred to as the action plan), Through the thick planting of ecological green base and the historical and cultural heritage of ancient water towns in the south of the Yangtze River, we will create a national global tourism demonstration area with high quality.
The action plan proposes that through the implementation of the “three major” list, a total of 10 categories, 37 major tasks, 73 major projects and 7 major platforms, with a cumulative investment of more than 50 billion yuan, the demonstration area will be built into a gathering area for the innovation and development of green ecological cultural tourism industry in the Yangtze River Delta, a demonstration area for the integration of cultural, sports and tourism in China’s regional integration and high-quality development It is a model area for the construction of international first-class water town cultural tourism circle.
It is understood that 37 major tasks in 10 categories include: green ecological co insurance project, cultural gene co interpretation project, cultural tourism product co construction project, cultural tourism brand co creation project, digital cultural tourism co construction project, transportation network co construction project, public service sharing project, governance system integration project, cultural tourism enriching the people and benefiting the people, and important mechanism co construction project.
17 categories of 73 major projects include the construction of Jiangnan kiln township cultural experience Park, Jiangnan Water Township ancient town world cultural heritage site, lake protection and restoration action, clear water green corridor action, global beauty action, etc. The seven major platforms include the construction of a demonstration area for the coordinated development of culture and tourism in the living room of Shuixiang, a tourist resort around Dianshan Lake, a beautiful rural cluster, etc. The action plan also sorted out 12 types of tourism themes and 47 routes, conducted a systematic inventory of the characteristic resources of the demonstration area, and listed the online Red punch points.
According to the action plan, in the next three years, the demonstration area will form a series of integrated cooperation mechanisms and achievements in ecological environment protection, construction of cultural and tourism industry system, integrated development of agriculture, sports and tourism, digital empowerment, modern governance system, enriching people with cultural and tourism and rural revitalization, so as to better highlight the natural texture and context of water towns in the south of the Yangtze River, The modernization level of cultural tourism industry has been significantly improved, new business forms have developed rapidly, remarkable achievements have been made in the construction of national global tourism demonstration areas, the two characteristics of ecological green base and historical and cultural heritage are more prominent, and the integration, digitization and industrialization of culture and tourism are more effective.
