Yangcheng Evening News reporter Li Tianjun reported: as one of the three strong financial zones in China, in order to accelerate the optimization of the construction of digital RMB financial infrastructure system and explore the construction of digital RMB ecosystem, Futian District of Shenzhen officially announced that it would jointly build the country’s first digital RMB demonstration zone with Shenzhen Central Branch of the people’s Bank of China and Shenzhen Institute of financial technology.
Recently, Shenzhen Futian District People’s government, together with Shenzhen Central Branch of the people’s Bank of China and Shenzhen Institute of financial technology, signed the strategic cooperation framework agreement on promoting the construction of digital RMB demonstration zone. According to the agreement, the three parties decided to jointly build a digital RMB demonstration area in Futian District, accelerate and optimize the construction of digital RMB financial infrastructure system, and explore the construction of digital RMB ecosystem.
Shenzhen Financial Technology Research Institute is the first research institution established by the digital currency Research Institute of the people’s Bank of China in China. Its main responsibility is to undertake digital RMB cross-border payment and international business according to the national strategic deployment and the overall arrangement of the people’s Bank of China. The Institute is located in Futian, Shenzhen.
The tripartite agreement signed this time will integrate the tripartite resources and has important strategic significance for accelerating the pilot work of digital RMB landing in Futian District. It will fully mobilize the merchant and user resources of Futian District government and operators to enrich the scene ecology of digital RMB. Continue to expand the innovative application scenarios of digital RMB, create a sustainable development trend of digital RMB application, and build a comprehensive and efficient digital RMB ecosystem.
